After all the BS, the mild heart attacks, anheurisms, heartburn and general pain in the ass the car finally moves.

And damn does it move! I built a new shortblock, got a new converter and trans. End of last year it went 10.83. Right out of the gate with just setting timing it went 10.40. I haven't touched the carb since last year, haven't changed the internals on the distributor. The carb is only a 750 and Im suppose to use a 950.

Have to thank Travis, his girlfriend Rachel, Justin Valcamp, Jeff Cassell and the guys at Redneck Trans.

Way to go Matt!!! I heard that your car was freaking moving out big time!!! Once you get it dialed in it is really gonna move! So what was your 60' and final trap speed?

60' was 1.42 and the speed was 127

Damn! Nice 60'. Now add a little 300 shot off the line and you'll be really scoot'n!

Oh no, no 300 shot. I'd like to keep the internals inside! I'm trying to get a dual stage from a buddy. Maybe 100 at first then 200.

Hopefully this winter the car and I will trim a few pounds.

That adds up to 300. :P

How did it hook off the line? Was any watching/filming the tires?

We are finally getting things figured out pretty good on my ol tank. Got a 1.37 60' on just the motor at the "Nitro" show in August. Going to try and get things back together for the King of the Hill in a couple weeks.

No, 100 then use the 200. NOT TOTAL!!!

I think Travis was doing the filming.

HEY TRAVIS, YOU HAVE ANY FOOTAGE FROM LAST SATURDAY?

It hooked hard all three time trials then first round it shook the tires. Only had a 1.50 60'. I had Jim Bonner the Div6 guy, he covered me by half a car. Really could've used a shot at the end cuz he lifted a bit early and I almost got him.

Yes I got 3 passes on the tape that Marty or Brian has. I heard that there wont be any racing after this weekend.

The track is also running on the 8th. I talked to tony today. I have video of your car matt. I had it converted from VHS to a DVD. It needs to get to dean so he can host it! There is lots of great shots of your car launching and since it's on DVD, you can zoom way in on the tires and see how it was hooking. I will burn you a copy to keep!:P
