Took the car down to Shellys and I was very pleased with the numbers. Did three pulls, after we were able to keep the tires from spinning, and the motor peaked at 410rwhp and 378rwtq. This was on 92 pump gas and conservative timing.

Thanks again Brian!!! Will have to bring the car back out once i get some race gas in her and she what she can do!

Just a N/A 4.6 :)

Very much! Hoping to break 450 with some race gas and real timing in it.

I just found some 110 on the pump out at the stateline!! Start fillin 'er up. and make sure to keep an eye on that gas mileage! lol.

Congrats man, those are great #'s!! Very impressive...

If you want 450, you could just go to PTR on pump lol.

Ya no kidding. I'm hoping to find some unleaded race gas so i don't mess up my wide band or o2 sensors too much. I would probably be alright seeing that i would only run it at the track, but don't wanna risk it.

lol i know! I was impressed to see how well it responded to the 2 degree timing change. Motor still has some power left in her thats for sure.

The Cobra was a very impressive car to say the least, after all the Cobra twin cams i have dynoed none of them sounded so mean at 7000rpm.

Nice results, post up your graph. At what rpm did you make those numbers? Seems like a pretty high compression setup to put down that kind of torque from a NA 4.6. Not doubting at all just want a little more info. What do you think it will run?

It peaked right about 6400rpm. I set the cams up to peak right at 7000-7100rpm, but the intake runner length is a little to long and its keeping my peak lower.

My best time at Renegade was a 12.5 spinning the tires off in 1st before building the bottom end. Hoping to have a solid 11sec car. Need to address the suspension next.

Looks like around 12 flat AFR? I wonder if you could lean it out a little more too? I thought N/A cars usually like around 12.5 to maybe even 13:1 afr.

You sure you dont have a longer crank in that thing? Those are pretty low peak rpm's for a 4.6. By calculating break mean effective pressure (bmep) you are around 230 psi at the flywheel. N/A Formula 1 cars are around 215-220 psi and Nascar is 205-210 psi. I call bullshit sorry dude, no way that is N/A or 281 CI. The numbers don't lie.

Ya i still have tweaking to do. I just had the handheld tuner with me and only lets you add fuel. Should have brought the laptop, but didn't even think about it.

It may have a few more ci's ;). Its 4.6 based, but comes out to about 5.3. The low peak numbers is due to the fact that the intake runners are about 10.75in long. Compression is about 10.8:1

Its setup to run on a 200 shot without problems, but the motor won't see nitrous for awhile. Its plenty fast as it is now, plus i will need to beef up the drive train and get a cage in it first. Just going to enjoy it on motor for now.

Well, as a fellow 4.6'er you got to give me some details about your setup.....if you want to!?!?

Were those SAE or STD numbers? I thought things looked a little fishy! I'll forgive you though cause you came clean. I bet it has traction issues with that much torque, its all fun though right.

jzcobra

lol exactly! Those numbers were SAE and yes traction is an issue, but the torque makes it a blast to drive! Plus the 4.30s really don't help. I put those in with old 4.6, but now it doesn't need that much gear.
