Ha ha, it is pretty quiet even without mufflers but nooooo, i didnt earn my time in street legal trim so fair is fair. I gotta throw the cat converter on it and do the emissions game and get tabs again. God i hate that hassle! It will do it though with a little work.

mine went through emissions with no prob... they dont sniff the exhaust, only plug into the ecm...

We had all sorts of problems. The converter is too tight and it wouldnt spool up no matter how long it sat on the transbrake. Plus the pushrods were too long and the poly locks had very little thread engagement and it kept blowing the valvetrain on every run.

It ran 127 mph on 7 cylinders though! Next up is to finish the NOS system to spool it on the line!

For what its worth, ive been pulled over 3 times in the hatch, with the exhaust coming out of the hood. And all the cops have told me that technicaly its legal. Yes i did register it out of county so i wouldnt have to pass emissions. But its still legal. RCW code dictates that a turbo is technicaly a muffler. All 3 cops have never batted an eyelash at it.

Ok in fully street legal trim i ran a 11.59 with a pathetic 2.14 60 ft. time on pump gas and 11 lbs boost. I guess im happy.
Oh and i blew up another damn turbo. Shit. Now im not happy.

Street legal to me personally means if you wanted to drive from your car from home to the local track without breaking any of the local emissions laws, then you'd be considered "street" legal.

I don't know how stringent Airway Heights emissions laws are, but I'm sure some cars in here would have some trouble.

Thanks Russ! Well anybody following me home last night knows 2 things. 1- i drive it on the street. 2- i was killing every mosquito on I-90 with the passenger downpipe filling with oil faster than it could blow it out the pipe! LOL Im really getting sick of this turbo breakage. The shaft speed must be in the stratosphere at 25 lbs. Screw it, im gonna put some chineese turbos on cuz they never fail! Seriously, they dont! At least all the ones ive played with live forever.

BTW....street legals are hard to define when us from ID have different rules to follow than those in spokompton....so lets agree on cars we drive on the street often or at least to and from the track WITH current license etc.

I figured oh well, i hated the rims sense i got them with the rhd eg. The hatch is getting a full set of new rims with drag radials, and the rhd integra is going 5 lug with itr wheels.

We found today that the diaphram inside the wastegate was torn. I believe this was the major factor for the first 1/8th mile. The car just didnt want to short track.

I am sure the cams contribute too, just not enough lift or duration.

Ill have a new diaphram this weekend and we'll try again.

I actually talked to him about it... Just like the TPR truck that came over and ran a 6 sec pass. The Blazer actually was full interior, and was actually "Street Legal" The tabs were current and of course they only drive it on the streets for special events but, "technically" street legal.:rofl:

I put some drag tires on and am going to come out for some friday street races this weekend and may pull my exhaust and hood to see if there is a 9.80 in there unless i add a little more juice to the mix.

I was dialing mine back but got talked into staying right at 9.90's. There were quite a few guys running that number, mainly the tti guys that were at the head of the staging lanes. Sure wish we would have got picked. My buddy got picked again! What are the odds of that? I didn't even stay & watch but I don't think he made it to the final 8 this time. It was a blown vega wagon.

(http://www.candsspecialties.com/store/html/051400big.html)E-85 doesnt totally kill rubber so ask em if they have a large bore needle and seat with a viton tip on it thats compatible. The stainless needles never seal that well and the problem gets worse the larger bore they get. Funny thing is, when your fuel pressure was too high, it was probably helping them stay shut!
Once we corrected the pressure, the problems started.

Yeah, there's a track down my my brother, in Colorado. When I asked for the specifics on what I needed to run down there, in their SL class, they were much more picky than SCMP. Must have current plates/registration, insurance, street tires (DOT slicks are ok), seat belts, mufflers, etc..
