Decited I didn't want to pay $40+ on cable. Now I get 30 channels. Thank god I still get SpeedTv. I've been spending alot more time online. Ebay/DSMtuners/AF/Dsmtalk/Here. It's getting old. I need a winter hobby that has nothing to do with cars or computers.. I need a break.
What does everyone do to get away from everything else? Not TV/porn/ps2 exc. Actuall hobbies.. I've been thinking about reading more, but the last 5 books I've bought I've read half and never picked them back up. I've been thinking alot about getting back into Soccer. I was bigtime into it for 15 years untill the last year of sellect p2 in 2000 when I moved but that would require alot of exersise and I don't think my out of shape, pussy ass could handle the first 3 months of conditioning..
What is their to do here in spokane aside from guns/cars/computers??

Geez. I don't know you bout covered it all except drinking. I agree with you on the tv thing. It really is the devil and I get sucked in way too often. I get tired of being on boards too and I'm only on 2 really right now.
Well, me and my friends bowl quite a bit. Sounds gay I know, but very fun actually. I also play a fair amount of poker at Hooters. I used to draw/sketch/paint a lot too but have gotten out of that. Never seem to find the time though. Thats always the main factor for me. I work out 3-4 times a week which takes my mind off of things for that hour or so. I used to be a decent basketball player, but my ankles are shot after rolling each too many times to count and my ass is way out of shape.
I paintball alot During the winter mounths good exercise and fun.
Ice fishing is good times as well!

hmmmm....i love to sleep, but im sure thats not an answer you're looking for :P
My friends and I used to go make cookies at a friends house and then doorbell-ditch them at other friends houses.
I agree with the reading thing- I used to read a lot of like political books and old classics- a lot from other countries like Ayn Rand, Tolstoy, Dostoyevsky, etc.- what kind of books do you read, scott? maybe that could be the problem as of why you didnt pick them back up...
I also agree with Jamie though, bowling is TONS of fun! Also golfing...

You are in the best area for outdoor sports there could be. Mountains everywhere for skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, climbing, canoeing/kayaking, fishing... Not for those people that need to be entertained by society though.
Pretty good indoor soccer club in the valley too.

I totally forgot snowboarding too. We really are lucky as far as location goes to have a good selection of mountains around us. Definately my winter hobby.
My friend plays in that indoor soccer league too. Looks fun to me also. I never played soccer in school, but they have leagues of all levels there. I picked up golfing this year too. Not sure how relaxing that really is. frustrating as hell.

Personally, having just relocated here from Portland, I am looking forward to winter skiing/snowboarding. Mt Hood sucked in terms of consistent snow fall. It will be nice to have more than 2 ski resorts to choose from. Besides, thats of the reasons I bought the DSM - get me to the mountain and back and have fun drifting and doing brodies in the snow at the same :D

I think I might just start running, and conditioning for winter. I havn't been on my ski's for 3 years. I'd like to teach my little girl how to snowboard this year. I remember the batchler day when I had a pool table in my living room...
