Just thought id put the word out i can do appraisals on specialty cars. Most insurance companies dont like to insure specialty cars at their true value since they dont have any education on the subject.
When they see an appraisal done on professional letterhead from a shop that specializes in that type of car it usually gets the owner thru all the red tape a lot easier. I charge 50 bucks to do it and break down the car into sub categories like drivetrain, paint and bodywork, interior and wheels and tires with individual estimated value of each category.
That way if your car is stolen and the drivetrain is ripped out, the owner can have some kind of ground to stand on with each items value in an insurance claim.
