I have heard good and bad from both... I personally have used ET streets on Adrian's cobra, and they hooked very very well. Hoosier quick time pro (QTP's) were going to be my choice on my DSM... but for your car, I'd say ET streets would do you right :)

Did you have radials on the front? how did it fill going down the track? I have been told its more of a getting used to fill than anything.

I had a bias ply spare on my Bronco. Got a flat once and put on the spare. I thought I was going to die. Top speed was less than 50 before it got so squirrelly I thought the rear end had different gears than the front as was trying to pass.

have had stock cobra tires up front, and also have had skinnies up front -- both felt the same to me for the most part... car felt solid and fine going down the track... takes a little extra RPM to get moving at slow speeds, but that's about it...

Ok. I know air press. is key with them. Is it true there is more give in them to?

Yeah im thinking you would fill it more since it was only one tire.

MT ET Drag radials for automatics. ET Streets for Manual cars with decent power and a strong rear end. Pretty common knowledge with the f-body guys.

So the ET Streets on a Auto is bad?

No et street are find on a auto. Running a bias ply with a radials you are just asking for troble but it your car. if you want a tire that you can us all over go with a drag radials if you are going to us a tire only for the track go with a full on slick better the a ET street.

street driving under 20 miles= ET Streets
street driving over 20 miles=Drag radials
track only=Slicks

this is the eazyest way to brake it down.

My car went 10.38 @ 127 with slicks and skiny raidials up front, handled fine, did have tubes in the slicks though. Also with the 17.5 by 32 et streets it corners like a stock car, just kidding but it does handle better than I expected. the only reason I put MT front runners on is cause I got a screamin deal on them.

I have heard alot of good things about the ET Street Radial thats what I am going with for my GTO. Depending on air pressure you will get a little bit loose sometime with the et streets but you get use to it quick but it can be kinda scary at first cause you feel like the rearend is going to come around on you

what rims did you find to fit the wagon and be able to trow slicks on it. I have radial front runers and slicks in the rear and the ride is smooth down the track.

Im geting a set of 17x9.5 Cobra Replicas. They clear my brakes. I wont be driving with them on the street at all. since they are 17"s in the back and 20"s up front. Down the road i might go with skinnys up front but most likely not. So What im looking at is the Hoosiers DOT radials. People with the SRT8s have said nonthing but good things about them. They are geting 1.5x 1.6x 60 foots with them. Im not going with a Bias ply I just dont wanna risk it. I will consider a all out slick if I can find one in a 17" I want a tire about 26" tall to make the best out of my gearing.
