Stolen from the south hill Oct 2nd. Its dark metallic blue, full veilside bodykit, scraped down the drivers side from sideswiping a telephone pole.
The car HAD to be taken by flatbed, as the drivers side rear suspension had been removed as well as the engine prior to the theft. It had to have been taken by truck.
Any info appreciated, this was my project car. Reward if found.
any info please call (509)590-6175
thanks

Was the car on the street? Sometimes the city can be pretty sneaky. Or some dam scappers. But I will keep 2 eyes out for it! Just by chance was there a lic plate on it? if so the plate #?

Ill keep an eye out...Sorry to hear about that.
This is a prime example of why my car is locked away in the garage every night. OOh, and the motion sensor lights and the camera pointed up driveway.

Where was this car parked? Have you tried calling the major towing companies?

Well the car wasnt actually mine YET, It belongs to a friend of mine and its been in his garage the last year or so, hes been working the last week on pullin out the motor before I picked it up. It was taken from his garage. I dont know the license plate yet, and dont have any pics yet.
I was supposed to pay for it and pick it up this weekend, but obviously thats not gonna happen now. Will post pics as I get em. I guess its a good thing it got stolen BEFORE I bought it. :shy:

This really sucks man, but just curious, did your friend swap trannies and do an auto-to-manual conversion? cuz all 96's came in AT because they couldn't get all the certifications for emissions in time.

Was it paid off? Maybe it was repo'd?
Whereabouts on the South Hill....I'm up a few blocks passed 29th.

Yeah...my vote is for repo'd/towed etc.
Im starting to doubt it was stolen....

I dont know about the auto/manual swap. I do know for a fact that there was a 6 speed in it when I saw it though. Since when have you heard of a repo company breaking into a garage to get a car, can they do that?
-and moscow, are you parked next to me out front of SCC?

Yes - as far as I know, repo companies can come get it from a garage. I don't think they can do any damage to the garage to get in, though. Is there damage? Maybe some of our members who also repo for a living could chime in here?

That really does stink if it was stolen. I guess the *good* side of that is that a MKIV Supra is pretty easy to spot around the Northwest since there's so few of them. I know I'd be sick if anything happened to one of my cars :o( Mr. Hoy's right about the 96 TT's not coming with a manual tranny though. Several people on Supraforums.com have done the auto-manual conversion, and everyone of them agree that it's a horrible decision. The cost is HUGE. In almost every case you can sell the auto car and buy a manual car and still be way ahead. Is it possible it was a 95 or 97 model?
Actually, now that I think about it, was it the original paint? Toyota didn't sell any dark blue Supras in 96 either. There was a dark blue (very dark) from 93-95, and in 97-98 they had a much brighter blue.
Just a thought. I'll sure keep on the lookout for any parts coming up for sale. You may want to keep an eye on Supraforums.com and MKIV.com classifieds as well.

It was a really deep, dark pearl navy blue. Factory wing, veilside c1 bodykit, totally raped driverside, factory wheels.
The guy the built it died a few years back when he rolled his celica, so the only info I have on it is from the brother who inherited it.
thanks for the help guys.

Do you think the car was painted a different color? Here's what the Baltic Blue (93-95) looked like:

Here's what the Royal Saphire Pearl looked like:

Hopefully the car turns up soon. But if someone's racing down the 1320 with a 2JZ in their old mustang.......

Well I would check hillyard that usually where stolen cars turn up! Not that the people who stole them live there, it's just an easy place to dump a car and no one notices for a couple days. lol
