Ihi

So my neighbor has an IHI that looks about new that he'll probably just give me but the shaft is totally loose and wobbly so first which numbers do I need to pull from it to figure out what it came off of and what exactly it is, and secondly is a rebuild on one of these worth it or should I just buy a "new" one?

And yes I do have a use for this size turbo (or the size of IHI's that were on the turbocoupes and SVOs) where a t3/4 is about the right size but something like this for free would sure work just fine for my junk yard project.

i would run the number and see what size it is and then go from there rebuild can be had for about 100.00 and if it is a ball t or bushing you can just have them made if you cant find them . good find.
