I've had it a week or two. Yeah, i traded off the car i've had the longest, my 93 turbo ls/v eg.

New car is a 1998 Civic Type-R, its a rolling shell, 4lug, ek seats, no drivetrain, new paint perfect body, still has the red carpet, cluster, sparco wheel, rear seat, red ctr floor mats, lips etc, just missing recaro's 5lug and drivetrain.

Currently plan is to put an ls swap into it, register it. Then 5lug, then recaro seats then sleved forged internal ls/vtec with itr cams and valvetrain, top mount turbo manifold and large dual ball bearing turbo.

Its going to take me quite a while to build but after a lot of talks with people i decided to stick with it and build it how i want. My ultimate goal for the car is a rare, boosted, sick car, and with some time, effort, and $ it'll happen. flame away. i could care less anymore, just figured i'd post up some pictures of it, i'll update as i go along, i couldnt stand seeing this car be parted fully.. yes this is the one that was for sale for like 14k and was parted.

People make it seem like such a big deal. I have a few proven ways that I will persue once its running, i've talked to people who have personally done it before and it shouldnt be hard except for on the wallet. 2-3k is what i'm figuring. This car is already all DOT glass, aswell as has the foam between the bumper and cover.

I'll bet you all it stays atleast a year then take all yo money :D

CTR's only come 5 lug. This car was 5 lug but when it was parted they took it off, along with the mugen rims which are for sale by the previous owner if anyone is interested hah.

Oh and to add on to that. If things fall through registration wise which i doubt they will I could honestly care less if I end up keeping it as a Show/Track car, its rare, its badass, i like it. If you dont thats your problem :)

ya know? I've stoped caring about all the bashing. Everyone does what they want, including me. I'm happy with what i've got and i'll keep buying/selling/trading as i want, despite all the crap talkin. One day i'll end up finding the car that i want to keep for a while, not sure when that'll be, and i dont really care, i'm enjoying the experiences with each car.

Fuck Hondas and Honda owners.

You are going to put in a lot of money and hard work just for some stupid beaner to steal your shit...should have kept your truck.

Yes, I'm bitter.

You have no idea how much i agree with you that i should have kept my ram. if only i didnt break the front axle and get a good trade in deal on the twin turbo s80 i woulda kept it, on the stealing note. its always in a completely locked garage with a steel door, that is always padlocked, and a the side door is a double door and is deadbolted with metal supports in the wall of the door. and there is always cars parked infront of the garage.. so i'd imagine i'd hear something or other if somone was trying to take it, if it ever gets finished and driven.. its not going anywhere where it will be out of my line of sight. it may sound stupid, and i know its not full proof and that if they want it they'll get it.. but hey.

You should try registering your CTR in Idaho...the people at the DMV are so clueless they won't have any clue WTF is going on.

I'll look into it. for now i'm just wanting to get through school so the ctr and mustang (once its back) are on the back burner and will slowly be pieced together.

if you need help registering it, not sure fully the price, but 2 of my best friends in canada import cars, and they recently managed to get a 94 mazda rx7 into the states, its actually in washington. so..

but what is it that is really holding you back from being able to register it? just curious? emissions= change ur ecu to a usdm one. Safety? the type r should already meet expectations isnt there a place to be approved? i know there is with the dmv if you do any major modifications and want them dot approved. rhd? dont you just sign your life away stating youll never pass on a 1 lane? so whats holding that car back? funds?

hey is this austin? lol if so this is phil who bought that eg rhd clip off you . Yeah mostly funds.. no motor in it currently, thats about all thats holding it back. its got seats and suspension and wheels/tires, just needs a drivetrain, may throw a ls swap in it and see about registration but i heard its like 2-3k

murphy's isnt it? eh i'm over the whole RHD bit. had a few fakes, had a real one.. its cool and all but not as much as its cracked up to be, and murphy's car is decent with a b20 slapped in it for 2k its a good deal though depening on the registration and "no title" ek9 is on hold/pending sale.
