Well i've got some research to do for sure, but figured i'd throw the question out. I have a 5lug conversion 69 mustang and well the tie rods are the wrong size vs stock, and i'm curious if anyone knows how i'd go about figuring out what ones to get? as i dont personally know what spidles etc he used to convert it. Or, how much would i be looking at to have it done at a shop, and which shop would be able to do it?

its a 69 with a rebuilt 302 and rebuilt c4 and runs but doest drive due to this. and i've already got a lot into it as the wiring harness was chopped to heck

I believe people use granada stuff. Maybe dan will chime in.

well i guess i need new p/s lines, and my proportioning valve? is making a clunk, and my tie rods are too small, and i have a noise in the trans that could possibly be the crossmsmber but not so sure as of yet. but it runs. and sounds AMAZING. I thought the foxbody sounded prety good but this thing... oh jeeze, turn the key and instant smile.

is this that black coupe that has been for sale? what do you mean 5 lug conversion? even 6 cyl in 69 was five lug. you mean disc brake upgrade?

im pretty sure 69 still have 4 lug and 5 lug it just means his car was originally a 6 cyl 4 lug car they converted it all.Maybe 4 lug even came on some of the v8 cars not sure though

Yes, the L code 250 6 cyl used the V8 5 lug pattern and the same suspension of the small block V8. The 250 was considered a "big" 6 cyl unlike the 170 or 200.

(Alot of people don't realize/know that the L codes were the only 6 cyl to come factory with the 5 lugs)

[taken from all fordmustangs.com sorry for the double post, and my car is not an L code car]
