The only reason I half consider it is for a possible financial gain. Its a halfway decent kit, and the things are going for around $20,000 complete. the body is sitting on a fiero chassis powered by a 350. Runs good.
I personally wouldnt be caught dead driving one of these things.
they want to trade for my 2001 R1.
I figure hit it with a decent paint job, and move it out. Take some profit and buy a real car.
does this even sound halfway sane, or just stupid? I could see it as either way. lol
Anyone have any advice?

Lots of work and then the money after factoring in taxes on the license transfer and all the little things. If you can find a buyer before you get rid of your R1 then I'd say go for it, if not you might be stuck with it(?)

lol, no shit.
got some more info on this thing:
its on a fiero frame, different suspension, (recently rebuilt) 375hp 350, auto. The glass body is one of the better ones, its got the same dimensions as the real car. Independant rear suspension, bigger disc brakes all around.
I did a search, and theres one on ebay similar condition with the shittier fiero motor in it going for 19k, with 3 bids. Another site I found that lists replica cars has these things going for closer to 30-40k consistently.
The only benefit I see in this deal is that my bike will only depreciate as it is, these things seem to be bringing it in pretty good, even if I may have to seel it to someone out of town.

I was talking to him for a while about trading for my bike, did some research and apparently the people who build and buy them are a close nit group and if it has'nt been built correctly they don't sell worth a crap or I would have done it 2 months ago heh.
