Started working on her again today. The new owner is having me put a newer much more efficient s/c on, bigger t/b, bigger injectors, and a small intercooler. Hoping for 11's with slicks full weight and pump gas. This is how far I am so far, about 6 hrs into it:
I would've had the bumper support off, but I stripped one of the bolts that was on so tight I broke a socket.

New S/C:

New intake manifold that I did a little smoothing to on the inside:

Cant wait to get it running again even though its not mine anymore :(. Should be a beast.

Maybe I should leave the GTO alone for the first couple weeks of the season and give this thing a run and see how close we are now before I do all the other stuff

Well didnt get much done today. Ended up having to cut the head off the stripped bolt for the bumper support which took forever. Finally got that off and mounted the front heat exchanger:

Still lots left to do. Hopefully tomorrow will be more productive.

Lol, ya that'd be sweet.

Being unemployed for over a year, I had to downgrade quite a bit. My new car is a 92 Audi V8 Quattro. 280 HP and 295 TQ 4.2L V8. Not bad for a 92. I LOOOVE the V8 sound.

I thought that GTO sitting next to the GTP was your new DD? :D

That's cool that the new owner of the GTP still lets you play with it... Does that green GTO also belong to him?

How does the Audi feel? I raced a guy, at SRP with one. He said it was heavy! 4200 pounds or something. His clutch did not like being let out fast and he ruined it, the first night. I doubt his wife was happy about that.

Cool mods your doing to the ol' GTP! On the GTP's i believe it runs the exact same throttle body as my 3800 camaro with the same drop in MAF and i was wondering if the new mods will max it out? My camaro would max the MAF readings around 10 lbs boost and if thats a problem with these cars, shoot me a call and i'll tell you how to fix it.
By bending the tang behind the MAF and slowing the airflow ive made it as high as 17 lbs boost. You gotta do some pretty wicked rescaling of the MAF table to make things work right afterward. Hit me up and ill give you the details.
If you have ever maxed out the sensor, you think you blew the motor up as the inj. duty cuts in half and the motor goes POP! Fart. wheeze, oh shit. Ok, i guess it still runs good WTF was that? LOL

Ya that sucks lol. It is very heavy. My registration says 3940 or something like that. It does feel decently quick though, and has a lot of top end power which I like, which my gtp never really had.

Thanks Marty. I actually got a GM LQ4 MAF which is 85mm and comes on the 6.0L vortec truck engines to go along with the northstar 75mm t/b. Otherwise ya, I'd definately be outflowing the stock maf. I was running 11-12 lbs of boost last year though with the s/c and never maxed it. It got close though. I think I hit 11,100 hz and the max is 11,500 IIRC.

Havent had a chance to work on it much lately. Todays the first time I touched it since saturday. Engines almost ready to start. Still gotta wire up and mount the IC pump and route all the coolant lines. Hopefully will be good to go by the weekend.

I can bring you over a pressure washer and we can make that engine bay shine! Spend all sorts of time scrubbing it down too! I know you would so much rather clean a car than work on it right Ryan?! :D

Welp got 'er done! Gonna go do some tuning now, but she already pulls pretty hard. Needs a wash badly, but I think it looks pretty sweet:
