Dyno Day?

Wondering if you guys ever thought of hosting one. Im sure there would be more than enough interest on this website, i know i would be down.

Ok just got off the phone with Brian, and the soonest it would probably be able to be would be the 4th of November. The date is something we can work out once we get enough interest. We need to have at least 10 people, more is better. Been seeing alot about a spokane speed get together, guess this could work.
The cost is 50 dollars a car, plus 100 dollars up front. So we could just everyone that is interested in doing this pitch in 10 for that cost and we'd be set. So basically consider it 60 for 10 people. Here's the list so far:

I talked to a couple of my friends and most of them said they were down. their all tryin to get some baseline numbers before they start their projects for winter. so i gott:

so everyones askin me how this is gonna work. The way ive seen it done is there are classes, like front-wheel drive all motor, and rear-wheel drive forced induction, and you get three pulls. so how will this work? Any idea?

I'm in SoCal right now so if you need money up front I can send it with paypal or I will be in town Oct. 29th. Do you know if they can dyno a diesel truck with a 6" lift and 35" tires? I don't think there is a problem but I thought I would double check.

About the 100 dollars, he made it sound like it we would pay it on the dyno day, but i will double check everything. We really only need to charge an extra 10 for 10 people, so maybe we can divide it up better. I call today and try to get as many details as possible.

ya if its $50 for 1 pull thats pretty steep. Like those traveling dyno's you get 3 pulls for $60-75. So a bunch of my guys are prolly not gonna do it for just 1 tug.

i have some dyno forms here that will work for sign in, Lets start sign in at 9 30 and then you can leave if you fell like it, but keep in mind that if you loose your spot you will go to the end of the line, there again just trying to organize a little.

and on the 50.00 dollar payment, cash or check is great, if you want to use debit or credit that is fine but i ll need to add a 5.00 sevice charge to it, sorry but that is the way it works.

this was how i ran the last deisel dyno day and with this i dynoed over 50 vehicles from 9am to 4 pm.

Thanks to Brian for holding the dyno day, i fun watching all the HP monsters turn the rollers.

I guess the Del Sol kept spinning 3rd gear on the dyno, and managed 322whp in 4th. I was kind of hoping to see something closer to 400whp but it looks like somethings will have to be reworked.

I had fun though... You should plan for a spring dyno day Brian.

Wassup Dean? Taking out the MAF screen usually does more harm than good. It probably would flow more but at low speed the air gets disturbed and kinda weirds out the fuel trim and makes for drivability problems. Bolting on a bigger aftermarket MAF can be an advantage but so far every one i have seen doesnt have the right frequency calibrated into it and messes the A/F ratio bigtime. With HP Tuners, i can correct the calibration table in the ECM to solve the problem cuz now the car is tuned to a " one off " MAF calibration. After that, they usually pick some ponies.
