As alot of you know my motor has been out for a while and is in my brothers BMW. My Moser 9" showed up a week or so ago and I finally got it painted. I ordered it with 35 spline axles, new nodular housing, 3.75 gears, daytona pinion support, Detroit Locker and 1350 yoke. The axles also came with exciter rings to keep traction control and ABS. More parts ordered and waiting to be delivered are: Spohn chromemoly adj. lower control arms, strut tower brace and Extreme tunnel mounted chromemoly torque arm with drive shaft loop; BMR subframe connectors, Poly motor and trans. mounts and an SS spoiler. I also just bought Marshall's LS1 that I will have rebuilt. Once I decide if I'm having a stroker crank put in I'll pick my tranny and converter.

Right on man, I sure wish the F body's came with a better rear from the factory. I just ordered my fab 9" last week so I can't wait to actually run at the track with a real set of gears and slicks. If you need any tuning help let me know as I do it for fun. What are your goals for the year? Have fun with that locker on the street :D

I'd love to check out that Fab 9! They have a real distinctive look! :) I havent decided for sure what I'm doing with my motor; n/a or turbo. I'm thinking of swaping a th400 and a brake for the overdrive. I picked the locker so if this becomes just a drag car I know I wont have problems. Untill then, driving will be fun!

I am kinda of confused on the TH400 statement below. How exactly does a brake give a TH400 overdrive? Only way a TH400 can have overdrive is if its a 4L80E

I meant that I'm thinking of ditching the overdrive for the turbo 400 with a trans. brake. I do very little driving where I need the overdrive.

Thats what I kinda figured you were saying if you wanted to see what it would be like I have a 2001 SS with a TH400 and a 12 bolt you could come check out sitting in my driveway

Right on! I'd like to see your crossmember, shift linkage and take some pictures. Do you recall the flexplate and converter you used, or part numbers?

Converter is just a standard TH400 converter and I used an adapter to convert the converter to a LS1 and I cant remember the flexplate part number. I pmed you my number whenever you are ready give me a call I am up on the northside. Check out this link it will answer every question you need to swap the TH400 in the Z
