Well i'm just looking for some relative quotes on cost to spray a car, i've got two cars that i'll need sprayed as soon as i get some body work finished up, a 69 mustang and 2002 subaru impreza sedan body work and primer would be done and materials purchased just dont want to take a chance on final spraying.

You get what you pay for. You can get a Maaco for a couple hundred or have a reputable shop tear the whole thing down and go completely over it brand new for $5,000 or more sometimes.

To have the hood, front bumper, both front fenders, passenger door and rear passenger quarter sprayed at American Way it cost roughly $3,000ish iirc. The big killer usually is the labor (obviously) because of taking stuff off and than having to put it back on. The more labor you can take out of what has to be done the cheaper it can be.

if you have the body work done and it is truly >>ready<< to paint, maaco in the valley(at last check) has had the same painter there for a long time, and lay's the paint on pretty damn good.... but if the car isnt ready it will only look as good as the work you did.....;)
but you do get what you pay for, and there will be alot of overspray clean-up and detail to do after... just depends on how deep your pockets are for the job you want done..

all in all i'm really just looking to have them sprayed, subaru i just need it sprayed over as it'll be the same color, and i may do the same color on the mustang but not too sure yet. both will be dissassembled and in primer i'm going to ask a few friends who've been in auto body for a while, and possibly ask the guy who painted my buddy's s4, but it had a ton of overspray layed out good just the over spray is a pain.
