I'd ship it off to a DSM shop. I'm guessing you need actual machine work but if you just need seals or springs/keepers/retainers changed I have the right tools to do it now. Just lmk

He needs machine work - but steve, before you take it anywhere and pay anything, measure the tolerances - that head should not be milled again.

Well i kow the valves need to be lapped, and more than likely the surface milled. And probably wouldnt hurt to replace the valve stem seals. the head was pulled from a running car that smoked just a little, but the turbo on that car was pretty beat, and the rings were shot as well as im rebuilding the motor now. But id also like to get the head hot tanked as well. I pured gas into all the runners on the head and 1 had just a very slight drip, like a small drip every minute or so. so just enough that work needs to be done.

well ive taken apart and reassembled a head before, using homeade crap, so it wasnt the best thing, but if i can do all the work taking it apart and save some money, id prefer to do that. Just pull the keepers, springs, retainers, valves, and then have the head tanked and milled shouldnt cost me too much at all.

Not sure if you sent it off yet but Jeff Cassell has been doing honda cyl. heads for my neighbor and he is extremely happy with the work and price. Jeffs # is 220-3359 or 327 2759. Give him a call if you havent sent it off yet. Jeffs has a fully functional machine shop in his shop and can rebuild ANYTHING. His engines are always in first place in the circle track community and he is well versed in all makes and models of engines.
