Yes...Its for MMCd.
It depends on what palm device it is - Palm III, IIIc, m105, etc. as i may end up using if for other things too. Pawn 1 has a m130 (color) for arround 40 bucks but then i would have to buy the serial cable adapter seperatly ($10) but i hate waiting for things to arrive in the mail.
I will give you $55 if you deliver it. Im on the north side.

Its a palmIII. which is the serial caonnection and non-color screen. i did alot of research about this whole deal and alot of guy were having a problem with the color screen palms freezing and losing all the stored logs. But its already got MMCD on it and the adapter to plug into the serial port and then the OBD pins. those are easy to make if you know your way around radio shack. but it would come with that as well. Its not recomended to use the palm for other thing, cause the more stuff you put on it the slower the sample rate is for the Palm. I tried putting games and stuff on mine so id have something to do while sitting in the staging lanes and it just got slower and slower.

Thats what i figured...I just need it for logging, nothing else but the m130 would look better in the car apposted to the palm III with its huge ass cradle.
I would like to make the cable myself - radioshack has the parts for cheap, that way if something goes wrong/shorts i only have myself to blame :-)
Will you take 55 for it?

I just picked up a m105 for 30 bucks at the pawn 1 on Spreuge (sp) less than an hour ago. The Monroe store (340-8888) has one as well. They also have a m125 and m130. mine came with a somewhat sylish dock and serial cable included.
Stoped off at raido shack and picked up the 10k 1/4 watt resistor and diode along with a spare female serial connector - i know ive got extras at home but just to be on the safe side. im gunna make an enclosure to house the serial port and electronics for a nice clean look/install.
In all, cost less than 40 bucks.

Here is my setup...Lemmie know what you think.
Very nice tool to have. I noticed that MMCd reports my rpm lower than what reads on the tach (+/- 300 rpm) - not sure which one to trust?

I have a M130 and it's flawless. No bugs or anything with the old pocketlogger I used a couple years ago and no issues at all with DSMLink V2 now. Works great. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a Palm.
