price tag isnt too bad considering it has the same motor as the new ZR-1 vette it just has different cam and bigger pulley, i think the ZR-1 msrp is somewhere around the 130+ range. i personally would rather pay half of what the ZR-1 is do a pulley and cam swap and still run mid-low 11s and be able to do go cross country in comfort lol... a guy at my dads lawyers office bought one that was damaged on delivery to the dealership so it has a rebuilt title but he only paid 23k for it lol, and it only had like 1300 miles on it

We actually got two black ones arrive today. One of them arrived with on-rail damage to the front bumper.

They "toilet paper" is used to protect the splash guard from getting messed up during off loading from the rail cars.

Hennessey Cadillac CTS-V Upgrade Packages | V600, V650, V700, V800 | Hennessey Performance (http://www.hennesseyperformance.com/ctveuppa.html)

I've been drooling over these for months. The motor is different... Powdered Metal rods, Hypereutectic pistons, the blower only has one intercooler vs the LS9 twin intercooler and smaller displacement supercharger. Both have forged cranks and oil squirters though! Dave Dmith has 2 and I think they are both mid $50's. Wish I had the money.

according to the scoggin dickey book i have(and from what ive read on ls1tech) it says that the internals are all the same just the differences are in the camshaft, heads(LSA vs. LS9) and the pulley sizes LSA=4.0 LS9=3.4, and they both use the same intercooler and supercharger set-up.

edit- you were somewhat right lol i found a new post about the differences between the LSA and LS9 configs. the LSA pistons are a hyper E piston which gm calls a semi-forged piston, but both are coated and are great for boosted apps. the LS9 pistons retail for 800 for pistons, locks, and retainers plus 250 for rings where as a LSA piston retails for only 53 bucks/piston, and rings for 130. but they have been able to get these cadi motors to put well over 660 to the rollers on these pistons with cam, pulley and tuning
LS9 on the left and LSA on the right

Thanks for posting the pics, I hadn't come across those before. That seems REALLY expensive for a GM part....must be because of the low production numbers. Does the LSA run the LS3 head???

in a way they do yes but they they are a different casting. they run a thicker deck than the LS3 heads. the LS3 heads arent a good head for more than 12lbs of boost, where the LSA head can handle 15+lbs of boost. either way the heads are phenomenal compared to older small block heads, the head on our camaro flow 312cfm@.600 lift and they flow 325@.650 lift the only thing that kinda hurts these heads is the exhaust which there still like a typical ls1 port but you can compensate for that in the cam. there is a guy on ls1tech that has a full interior car with a 408 and these heads and his cam is a 253/277 hydraulic roller and it runs 9s on pump gas, also i forgot about this but the LS7 heads are a 6 bolt design head
