Well looks like alittle more of the race schedule has been posted. Some Friday nites and afew wed. grudge races. What do you think? I see one date I wish they wouldnt run a fri-nite. the AUG 19th, the nite before the NAPA Thunderfest. Alot of the nitro cars and such will be there parked and setting up for Sat. That and getting the track prepped for the next day would seem to me to muck it up.

What mucks it up is when a dumb ass in a DSM breaks his car every run!!!

The kid and I are building something fun to run this year!

I'm gonna be there on the 19th but I don't mind, I am finalizing my wedding plans that night cause I am getting married on the 20th at the track that is one of the reasons for the jets and funny cars being there. Cindy thought that would help make the wedding memorable.

The weds. night thing is pretty cool...I wonder if the 1/8th mile racing will slow things down tho, since I dont recall a turn off road thats before the normal one. If they have created a new turn off, say right at the 1/4 mile, then 1/8th mile would work pretty well.

I am pretty sure there is a turnoff at the 1/4.... unless something has changed with the track improvements?

I dont see why they would do 1/8th grudge races, but the wed. night running sounds like a cool idea.

yeah with the track improvments the old 1/4mile turn off has been blocked with a perm. retaining wall. there IS a gate just past the finish line now, but there is no road leading from it. I think they mentioned they were gonna make that a plausable turn off, so we'll see

A friend of mine was one of the guys doing the road coarse modification, and they moved the road course to run threw where the retaining wall is out onto the straight away after the 1/4 mile finish line. Where that retaining wall is installed is actually a big gate
