View Full Version : By a show of hands.
Hay folk's it's me again spamming the board but I have a couple of questions for you all kind of like a public opinion poll. I know I know this has never been done before but that seems to be a reoccurring trend since the new management took over. So hear is what I wanting to know from you folks during the Friday night street races how many of you OVER 21 would like to see a beer garden out there? how many of you would like to see girls in bikinis doing the flagging on a Friday where we are not running the lights? those are a couple of things that have come to mind that I just wanted to get an opinion from you on thanks for your time.

Over 21, and don't mix beer / racing. No thanks
Obviously you will not be able to get drunk and race! It will be no different than any other race night where they serve beer. I think we will even put a 3 or 4 drink limit on it or something I'm not sure still ironing out detail and nothing is set in stone I'm just wanting to here your thoughts and ideas about it. if any of you have an idea through it my way ill see what we come up with.

BEER AND RACING...... All I can say is WOW! Isn't that a huge liability issue? The casino is gonna end up with a great golf course!

The beer is intended for the spectators not the racers.

I am sure intent is a great thing, but the truth is, people are going to race and drink. I am also sure that someone is going to buy beer and give it to their underage girlfriend. Why even think about doing this?

I know some tracks have a beer garden where they ID you to get in, you have your drink, but you can't leave with the drink. That may work...

It will work and the drinkers will be marked and not allowed to race!!!

Well as someone who has to deal with them, I would rather not have to worry about teenagers getting ahold of beer by getting someone to buy it for them. PLUS that was orviles idea last year. So you need to come up with something original.......Have you been there on a fox hunt? come on the women then are shit. And they look strung out on crack! NOT TO mention Who wants to drive home with a bunch of drunks?????

Stamp hands for entrance to the beer garden. Hand stamp = No raceing. I don't see a big deal with it, they sell beer anyway. As long as you make it in a part where you can see the raceing...

So whos responsible for checking hands??
The difference between friday nights and saturdays is the people involved. On saturdays most of the people have alot of time and money invested in there cars. These people dont want to drink and drive, they respect the safety of themselves and everyone else at the track.
Some of the FNSR crowd is different. But it only takes one person to slip by and tag another car...or hit a pedestrian in the pits...or whatever, you get the point.
No thanks.

Ya that would be me that would have to check hands, and ID and remember who is 21 and who is not.

No, you would be responsible to check who you serve. I want to know who would be checking hands of the guy in the car with tinted windows before he races...

we need alcohol at FNSR to deal with all the underage assholes that park in the staging lanes and go jack off somewhere clogging the shit out of the lanes..
Noted, Thank you all for your input, I see there quite a few flaws in this idea. I will keep all of these ideas in mid when discussing this with the security staff and Jimmy.

Besides how hard is it to have someone spouse/friend etc...buy you a beer & you go drink it around the corner? Bad idea in my book. As for chicks in bikinis I disagree lol

I agree...there would have to be A LOT of monitoring when it comes to the FNSR AND drinking. I'll be DAMNED if someone was lining up to race or taking off in their car and hits mine. Heads will roll!!!! Including everyone at FNSR! Last year some jackass "forgot" to put on his parking break on his truck and rear ended this guy's PT Cruiser!!
As for bikinis..that's just what we need..underaged chicks running around half naked.... though I will volunteer to be in one LOL J/K

not to mention the fights
bikini girls are fine, so long as they are hot. i mean - we don't want roseanne up there flagging.

Just like Reid said, the people that come out to FNSR are not exactly seasoned veterens (for the most part - no offense implied). I dont trust most the people out there sober, and racing or not, put booze into the mix and I'd be surprised if I ever went out there again. Plus I dont want to pay more for a beer than I did to come in and race.
The bikini thing I'd have to say no to too. I like taking my girlfriend out to race and she sure as shit wont be comming out with some crack whore in a thong running around.

Beer garden would be ok - provided the beer is cold , not watered down and reasonably priced.. (and off limits to drivers)
What I would really like to see at FNSR is timeslips (make it an option for those that want to pay?) or at least the clock at the end of the track, have it display time and speed - 60ft and 1/8th mile doesn't really matter to me - trap speed and times would be nice though. Theres no extra cost for SRP to do this - just turn the damn thing on!
How about a solo line, for people that just want to race, regardless of whether they know someone there or not? So many times I have been out there and can't find anyone to race with... disappointing. Just have one lane be solo drivers, and match em up in order..So what if an 8 second car (lol) has to race an 18 second focus - if the 8 second guy wants a real race, then he can find a matched opponent. Otherwise hes there to take the car down the track and see how the car is running. Some people just want to race - it doesn't have to be all social and hugs and kisses....
Maybe start the staging lanes "policed" if you will, so theres no parking there and no wandering through the lines of cars by pedestrians - Its a clusterf*ck out there.

I could not agree more as the guy doing staging for the last 5 years or so yes it is me the loud fat guy! A.K.A. Jeffro! Any way I’m going to do my best with the extra security I have now and man power make it so I don’t have what I like to call a “CAR SHOW” going on in the staging lanes also please read the post titled “you asked for it I got it “ Tokudai I think you’ll be very pleased to see what’s in there also if you want to see more of what we have done and are currently planning please check out our myspace @ www.myspace.com/fridaynightstreetraces!
Also don’t forget to show up tonight and race we are running and its only 5 BUCKS TO GET IN AND RACE 5 bucks flat so come on out!! GATES OPEN FOR FNSR @ 8:00 SHARP BE THERE

Cool, nice to see you guys are making some changes -**unfortunately, until theres a solo line, theres still no point in going out there for FNSR -for me anyways. I just want to run my car(s) and 45+ minutes between runs (IF you can find someone who wants to race...)... Well, lets just say its almost as much fun as waiting in line at the bank.
I may make it out there when/if you guys turn the lights on though

Serving beer at the FNSR would be a huge mistake IMO. It would be to easy to drink and then race.... its to easy to remove stamps or marker and do the guys pulling staging want the responsibility of checking every drivers hand before they race? There are fights out there constantly and someone was taken to the hospital last friday...imagine if you mix in alcohol. My buddies and I have to much money in our cars to have to worry about drunk dumbasses hitting our cars. People are already out there spinning donuts and doing burnouts in the pits without alcohol.
As far as the lights are concerned....having them on once every month or 2 months would be cool. Nothing more than that though.
