gear swap anyone???

9" ford gears..

im lookin to trade/swap the 5.13's out of the wagon (not sure who wants to run 5.13's) but im lookin for a set of 4.11-4.56 gears for more driveability..

may trade complete center sections also
5.13 gears, locker, 31 spline... havent had rear apart so gears and locker type unknown.. no clunking banging..

yours must atleast be a very good posi, spool ok too..

Ive got a set of 4.11 or 4.56. Ill have to climb up in the loft and check. cant remember what set i sold already.

Im being brain dead. I forgot I set them up on a 28spline posi setup and sold them already. Im tellin ya it sucks getting old.LOL Sorry. Pretty bad when your daughter has to remind you where your spare parts have gone. good news is my loft is all organized now.

No prob, i completely understand the forgetting thing...
i got the center out of the rearend turns out the gears are a 5.28 ratio...37/7 ring/pinion.. cant seem to find any names on them.. the ring gear is chrome looking though, whatever that means... and looking at other locker designs it appears to be either a detroit, or a yukon... although im not sure the yukon brand was out at the time of the build so i really have no idea....
just gonna go bug Billy Johnson and have him set up some 4.11's for me...

isnt that chrome on the ring gear some sort of expensive coating they put on if you order it? i seem to remember someone i knew i dont remember now but someone ordered his gears with that chrome lookin coating and it was like 150 bucks or something to have them do it, suppose to help with cooling, strength, and something else if memory serves me correctly. you should post up a picture of them

not sure what the finish is on them.. they look nice, but 5.28's are no fricken good unless i can make it to a wed. night race...
