What do you think about an F2 procharger inercooled its a little more spendy but still bling!

BOOGEYMAN
10-29-2006, 08:47 PM
The F2 is a sweet blower!!! We could still make 1500+ with the F-2 and the engine for the truck with out the pair of 76's. I think the turbo set up is going to be way more streetable for you and have a much better power cure that you are looking for vs the F2!! The way the turbos will hit and make horsepower/ torque at a much earlier rpm it will benefit the truck chassis better than the F2 will. Not to mention you wil need a 5k stall for the F2 vs a 3000 to 3500 for the turbo set up.

I have a lead on a some 76's, just waiting to hear back from a few people!!!

looks like a nice job there Travis, what did you end up with on the notcher or did you just cut and grind? again it looks real good.

BOOGEYMAN
10-29-2006, 09:07 PM
Just the good old trusty cut off wheel and a sharpie!!! This was my 5'th cage so it went real good with the cut off wheel and the grinder to touch it up a bit!! It looks so awsome in that car the pic's do no justice for it! I will have his truck done in the next month and I cant waint t get started on it.

Well I don't have the tools or a Mentor, so school looks like it would be my only option. My father is an excellent welder (Welds for Avista Corp) but he doesn't get to bring the welders home, and does not weld enough at home to justify purchasing one..

Is it me or the pics, why do the A pillar bars look so low at the main hoop and the windshield?

I saw your post on turbomustangs Travis and it looks like the turbo's will be pretty spendy.... I found this on there that would work pretty badass on a 500+ inch motor... The price isn't to bad either.

Ya I got a pair today all set up . Two brand new Precision GTQ -76's for $2,260. They will be much better on the street than a huge single and boost will come on much sooner for what we are trying to do, thanks for the link though.

More the pic's than anything. The bars were so tight on the roof you had to force them in so I trimed a bit and found the best spot for them. Noah can still get a headliner in and use his visors the way they are now as well as he need to be able to get all his trim/interior pieces in.

where did you find the 76's trav? that is a pritty good deal. what are you doing for headers and piping?

Trannyman
10-30-2006, 06:51 PM
Yes thoes 76MM are gonna be mine pretty soon We don't have headers or piping yet but me and Travis prolly beable to figure it out!

BOOGEYMAN
10-30-2006, 07:53 PM
I founs the 76's from Brian at B&G custom Turbo, he is running a special on any Precision turbo 67mm to 76mm in a GTQ trim untill the end of Dec. If you are a member on TM.com you get a way better deal as well, just cant beat his prices right now! You have to call for pricing.

As far as piping and headers we are just going to get some flanges and a bunch of J and u bends and go for it, make some bitching tubular headers for it. Probly go with dual 3 inch down pipes as well as dual 3 inch exhaust with a set of borlas all the way ou the back.
