because i just cracked my turbo manifold... i didnt even have it for a month and it already cracked :(... i think i got screwed on this manifold paid 800 for it and it already cracked... the part that sucks is i bought it from a middle man so i think no warranty... damn what a sucky weekend... anyways i need someone to weld it back up for me asap...

don't use JB weld.....it catches on fire on manifolds...

Is it on or off the car? I am out in the valley and can TIG it if it is off the car. The header on my car had a very similar break on it too.

what kind of manifold is that?

Thats a odd place for it to crack if its schedule 10, which is typically used on custom turbo manis.

The length of the crack is the same length as the weld it is on.....looks like the weld let go vs the material of the pipe.

It's been cracked before and repaired. Thats why it has another weld on the left pipe out in the middle of nowhere too. Unfortunately, stainless expands a shitload. You can fix it but in time, it WILL crack again.There is a reason why OEM turbo manifolds are made out of butt ugly cast iron. No style points but reliable as hell for the most part. Turbonuts and Greg can handle ya but i thought id let you know that i have a TIG welder out at shelley's too and can also do this type of repairs.

yeah manifold is off the car now... how much will u guys charge to weld it up>? im just trying to figure out what kind prices ill pay verus sending it back to the dood that built it and have him reweld it...

No biggie. I will fix it for 20 bucks for ya. Just bring it out to shelleys and i can probably do it for you while you wait.

Yup, I was going to say $20 too. If Marty is going to be out at Shelley's for the dyno day today, it would be a good time to get it done and meet lots of the guys on here. I live a mile or two away in case you need it done today and he can't make it.
