As I'm thinking about a custom air/water IC I'm wondering how well the stock AC radiator works as far as cooling some water flow would be, anyone know anyone that's toyed with that idea before?

As far as intercoolers go i would love to have an air to liquid IC but there is no way the setup i want will fit under the hood. I absolutley refuse to waste money on a front mount...instead, im going for a larger side mount (perhaps the dejon one) with a c02 sprayer and intake duct... http://www.cryo2.com/products.asp?m=sc&cid=1

have seen a co2 sprayer in action....totally worthless. The setup I'm thinking of would fit pretty much where the battery is and the battery would be re-located to the back.

"totally worthless" is a powerful statement. can you expand on your reasoning for why you feel its worthless?

guy with the supercharged scoobyroo was spraying on his IC, would get like 3 passes and it did'nt really make much of a difference in how fast/slow his car was.

What boost level was he running? Under 10PSI? If so his ic prolly didnt even come close to heat soaking...Which is what i want it for. Sure it may cool the air intake temps a bit but i dont wanna be stuck 'taking it easy' because my ic was heatsoaked after one lap on the track...

a front mount setup will cost you just over the price of a larger sidemount + IC sprayer, then when you figure in the cost of re-filling it you save money eventully. Spraying a water mist on the IC while air is moving over the IC is also very effective and very cheep and very free to re-fill.
