Bad day..

Well, I drove to work today in the snow, and the AWD was beautiful. I saw cars in ditches everywhere, and even a rolled over Toyota. I was on Division when a lady gently rear-ended my car at like 3 MPH - no biggie. It didn't even scratch it, just bumped it. Anyhow, my DSM must have been pissed off at that because on my way home from work, it made a horrible CLUNKing sound from the drivetrain. I shut the car off immediately, and coasted into the parking lot at NAPA on North Division. No matter what I did - car on, car off, neutral, any gears, etc - it clunks and you can definately feel it inside the car. I called Cingular Roadside assistance and they sent out Divines Towing to tow my car back to Deer Park free of charge. :)

I have not inspected the car further at this point, but I believe it is the transmission. This sucks. I will report back later.

too bad you had it towed to deer park, that means it's a longer distance for me to tow it to get it to my place :-)

Should have run a triple port nitrous feed directly to the second gear synchroids like I told you to. Then you wouldn't have found yourself in this mess Braaah'

It'll be a while before I can really dig into her... Being as I was in tre hospital, medical bills suck. I will likely put the Eclipse on the back burner for a while and just finish the Swift (cheaper more reliable transportation).... that is if I don't just sell the Eclipse... I can't afford this right now.

1g tranny won't fit. I think the tranny is what is broken anyway, so it wouldn't be of much use :P

2600 won't work, either, for ur 2g :P

My friends supra did a similar thing, turned out to be just a fucked carrier bearing that came off. If youre lucky, the problem isnt in the tranny or engine.

I know the problem is not engine related. Car still fires right up, revs just fine, etc. I will check the carrier bearing too :)
