I bought an '07 Silverado this month and picked up a grille for it. Unfortunatly, I bought the wrong grille. The '07 is similar to the 03-05 2500HD, not the 1500. I tried returning it but they want a "handling fee" for the exchange that will eat half the cost of the damn thing after eating shipping and handling the first time around. I'd rather sell it at a loss and fund part of the '07 grille I ordered. :( E-bay didn't work because it's flooded with cheap overlays that cost $25 and are worth even less.
It's stainless steel, not billet aluminum. It'll never need polishing like the aluminum does after it oxidizes over time. I had one on my '02 Silverado, I remember. The entire thing, besides the mirror finish on the front, is powder coated black. It's not the bull shit overlay! The cheap overlays sometimes zip tie to the front of the truck:rolleyes:. The better ones bolt to the existing plastic grille. Being that the mounting point is plastic, they can be ripped off the truck easily. Plus, they stick out a lot further than the stock grille and look stupid IMO. This replaces the stock plastic grille. The install more time consuming than the overlay but worth it and still easy. I'll even help you if you need it, I've done it a couple times.
I paid ~$130 and never opened the box it came in from UPS. I'll take $100 obo I'll drop it off to you if needed, I need to get rid of it.
