Just dropped it in my EF Sedan... Just need to jet the carbs and put a nice big cam in it... The sister motor made 240whp.. Out of a 1.5l non vtec. That same motor was in a 1988 CRX hf and ran 10.77. If the 4 door runs low 11's then i should be happy.

240whp out of a 1.5l non-vtec d-series? how about some dyno graphs or a dyno video.....

Bisi Ezerioha is who you're talking about obviously.
d15 balanced and blueprinted race engine.

You are exactly right.. I dont plan in driving the little shoebox on the street anymore. And Yes Bisi's motor was a 1.5l d series motor. Now he is running an f series motor but it is still SOHC....

What shop is this taking place at?
Whats the compression?
Also, DeltaCam on the west coast makes sweet reginds for the A6 motor.

Delta cams of the old days maybe... but the new owner is a moron. I dont see that place lasting too much longer. Web camshaft has been doing Honda Cams for over 20 years, they have done their homework

IF you make 240hp I doubt you'll see low 11's in that sedan...low 12's maybe, but you'll need to do some suspension modification to get the power to the ground.

I'm confused by this thread. So just because bisi made 240whp means that somehow you will make the same power? Or are you bisimoto? Or did you buy his old engine?
Also I agree with what Reid said that you have no chance at 11's in a 4 door...well not if it's in any sort of street trim atleast.

Just making the power, you are right. But I also have a final drive that matches wheels size etc, etc. The motor that went in is not going to make that mark. I also have another one that I am building similar to it. More compression, bigger camshaft, and some other goodies. I just put this together to have fun on the street for now til the new one is ready. The motor that i put in for now is all factory Honda parts.
Bisi is actually a very good friend of mine and has helped in the construction of my new motors.. I was born and raised in California. Moved up here about a year ago. Been into the import scene since the late 80's.. I still talk to most of my friends down there quite often. Stephan Papadakis, Jojo Callos, The Bergenholtz Brothers, etc. My best friend still is in charge of the sport compact side of ARIAS Pistons.. Have known Lori and her husband (Owners of Web Camshaft) almost all my life. I am by no means new to this
Thanks, Don

I'm asking again... whats the compression?
Do the Berganholtz bros still work out of AEBS? Do you also know Rodger Sanco?

Looks like we may have some competition this season. Get the car done and bring it to the track, I would love to see it run.

Sounds like alot of fun.... Went to SIR a couple times this past summer and the quickest Honda I saw was only running mid 13's in a hatch with B series /turbo.... Not to put anyone down at all but , coming from California thats kinda slow for a turbo car..... But I am game for anything...
Thanks, Don

I ran 12.71 at SRP with a B16/turbo at 8psi 2 years ago and I think Kryptosol was running faster than that with his del sol last year. I know there we at least 2 or 3 more guys running in the 12 sec range over here last season as well.

Hope to have the new motor and the car ready for next July's BOTI.... But we will see I guess. I would love to see a single digit Honda car up here..... But no matter how fast, its all fun.

We made it over to BOTI this past year and there were a handful of hondas running in the 10's and a shitload in the 11's and een ore in the 12's. Thats y goal for this net season to be pushing 11's before BOTI.

Allmotord15, please post results as soon as you get your car on the dyno. I know you are talking about 240hp and 11's, but to be honest, I'm pretty skeptical....
How much whp are you expecting your street motor to make?
Sure a couple 12 second Hondas here and there isn't impressive when compared to California, but it's better than nothing. I just feel like you are writing A LOT of checks with your mouth that I hope your ass can cash when it comes race season again, and Im saying this without trying to be a dick.

If you have read any or all of my posts in here, I have said that no matter how fast anyone is , as long as its fun. Not claiming to be some super fast, better than everyone else, Honda God. Not that way at all.
As for the street motor, I think I am going to take down to a friends dyno shop in California to tune it with the carb setup I have in it. Trying something a little different with this motor. As far as numbers go, I dont know so I wont say how much it makes. Although I can say is that with the way it is running right now, Its right there with the 92 GSR we have here at the shop. Its got I/H/E cams, and reprogrammed ecu. Right now the timing isnt right yet, No MSD, and waiting on my camshaft still too. Obviously the tranny I have with the final drive and posi unit is not in the car either.

hey man nice to see a sweet little 1.5 liter d machine either way.
Whats the engine specs? Stock d15 or what? You can source a lot of oem parts to make a pretty nice revving d series.
D15 block
vx rods
d17 pistons
shave the head and block
1.62 r/s ratio with high compression
AllMotord15

Yeah the motor I just put in has zc dohc pistons in it... Balanced rods, took .040 off the head and just machined the casting marks out of the intake and exhaust. Nothing too crazy. Just waiting on my MSD and my new camshaft and then I will have to jet it correct.. Just playing with it right now. The new motor will have aluminum rods, super light crank and flighwheel....etc
Thanks, Don
