I am looking to change out my seats in the real near future and was looking for some people with experience. Obviously there are a million kinds out there, with price ranges to match. I would like to get a set of EVO 8 Recaro's but that has proven harder and more expensive than I'd thought. So anyone with opinions or experience with certain brands/kinds let me know. I don't want crap seats, but don't want to spend $1000 for a set. I might even end up buying just one, I don't know. i found some going for $300-$400 a set that look real nice online, but no way for me to sit and feel them which sucks. At least I've sat in an EVO 8 Recaro.

Stick with name brands in this field. I had a sparco speed in my talon and it was the best seat ive ever sat in. Im tryin to fing another set for my hatch. Anything from sparco, momo, corbeau, recaro. Any of those will be good, and be sure you get them appropriatly sized for you body type. Theres also wether or not you want fixed or reclineable. My sparco was fixed and i honestly never had a problem with it. I was very comfortable driving to seattle and back. Best to be sure their FIA approved, if so, then youll be fine.

thanks. yeah, those are the basic brands I was lookin at in the higher end. I do want it to be adjustable slider wise also at least on the driver side. Passender side can be fixed cuz I don't have to sit there. My roomate drives it sometimes and he's a good 6-8 inches shorter so I do want to try and make it work like a stock seat would. i would like to be able to recline also as I race and drive differently.

Reclineable is what i meant, i used the facory sliders off the dsm seat and made brackets so my sparco would slide. It wasnt reclieable though.

make sure they are FIA approved...
why are evo seats too expensive? you gotta pay to play.
remember you need a cage if you are going to run racing harnesses...

YOu want a set of evo seats? hmmmm we have a used evo, I tell ya what, $300 and they're yours;) Just kidding my job is worth way more than $300 to me, but check out www.zilvia.net in their group buy section and also the store promo area's. They have some smoking deals on seats every once in a while.

I was actually going to see if they have a harness bar that will work rather than a full cage. I'm not going that route. I sat in a Tenzo seat and it wasn't all that bad honestly. I'm sure there are tons of differences though in all the types. $300 would be a great deal. Hook it up. screw your job:)
