What kind of transmission do those guys use that lets them run all the way to the finish line with the RPMs never changing and no discernable shifting?

It was some sort of 3-speed automatic, if you listen you can hear it shift 2 times. It must have been spinning a little off the line cause he lifted for a split second.

And still ran a 7.81.
On a few more listens I can hear the subtle shifting. I wonder if his tires are spinning a little keeping the revs so close to the same.

I dunno how i missed this! Thats gotta be the best launch i've seen from a supra, even if he did lift off
BTW...TH400 is the most likely transmission. Most popular for Supra's running autos, few have used Powerglides too. There are a few companies that have been making adapter plates for a few years now.
